NWACHUKWU O. Andrew

Andrew is a qualified accountant with MBA, rich experience gained in the three segments of the accounting profession – professional practice, private sector/international sector and Government. He had several years’ exposure and hands-on practical experience in the private sector and International Community. He has in-depth experience in financial management and has acquired good knowledge of EC financial and Contractual Procedures, including European Development Fund (EDF) rules and procedures as well as World Bank procurement procedures. Andrew had served as Finance and Administration Manager with the European Commission, ECOWAS Commission and with a leading private telephone operator (1995 – 2000). He has served also in several committees and capacities impacting on fiscal policies, good governance, public policy and economic reforms in Nigeria.

Andrew has attended many local and international development courses and workshops. He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management.

He has worked at the Budget office of the Federation where he doubled as a Deputy Director and Procurement Officer, Economic Reforms and Governance Project (ERGP) – (World Bank financed project) and Federal Ministry of Finance Representative at the One Stop Investment Centre (OSIC) – Nigeria Investment Promotions Commission.

Andrew has a vast experience in public procurement and education financing: European Commission, Economic Reforms and Governance Project (World Bank Financed); ECOWAS Trade Negotiation Capacity Building Project (ACBF and SIDA financed); Chaired the committee that handled the procurement of ERP software for Education Trust Fund in Nigeria. He is a dedicated, hard-working organized team player with strong time-management skills; excellent interpersonal skills and communication abilities including report writing and oral presentations in English.
